Noseworthy Chapman Chartered Professional Accountants is excited to announce an opening for a permanent, full-time Staff Accountant in our Accounting Services Group (ASG) based in St. John’s, NL.
As a key member of the ASG team, you will provide flexible, cost-effective financial management services to clients who do not employ a full-time accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, including sales and purchases.
- Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Administer payroll, including cheques, vacation pay, Records of Employment and tax remittances).
- Prepare and file HST and HAPSET returns.
- Complete annual filings, including T4s and Workplace NL reports.
- Compile financial statements and other reports for clients.
- Provide other ad hoc accounting support as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of accounting experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of Sage 50, QuickBooks, or Xero
- Strong organizational and communication skills
