Dorothy is married to husband Dave Nesbitt and they have two daughters, Grace and Olivia.
Dorothy is an avid reader, who loves a glass of wine. When she wants to get out of the house, she loves ballroom dancing.
When the Keating/Nesbitt family goes on vacation, they like to get the blood pumping and enjoy vacation destinations that provide access to rollercoasters, parasailing, jet skiing, and zip lining activities.
Dorothy’s greatest accomplishments are her daughters development into intelligent, thoughtful, caring individuals and her success in assisting candidates receive their designation as a mentor of students in the Chartered Professional Accountant’s program.
Dorothy started her career with Noseworthy Chapman in 1988, but left in 1993 to pursue other industry experience. She rejoined the firm in 2008 as partner and since that time has been a dedicated to providing her clients with superior client service.
She graduated Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) degree in 1990 and received her professional designation as a Chartered Accountant in 1992.
She was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2012 in recognition of her contribution to the community and to the profession, and received her Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant designation on the merger of the accounting professions in 2015.
Dorothy believes in giving back to her community and her profession. Currently she serves as a Director on the Board of Newfoundland and Labrador Oil and Gas Industries Association (NOIA) and Advisory Board Member to the Faculty of Business at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.
